London, Nov. 22 (AFP): Arsenal made light of the absence of six regulars and beat Birmingham 3-0 on Saturday to extend their unbeaten start to the season to 13 games, a new record for the Premier League.
Freddie Ljungberg, Dennis Bergkamp and Robert Pires scored to keep leaders Arsenal a point ahead of Chelsea, who beat Southampton 1-0. Manchester United remain third after a 2-1 win over Blackburn.
Ruud van Nistelrooy and Kleberson struck for United, with Brett Emerton pulling one back for Blackburn. Marion Melchiot scored the goal for Chelsea.
