New Delhi, Nov. 16 (PTI): Reliance has announced that it would provide fully mobile services on its nationwide WiLL network in 72 hours, beginning with roaming facility in seven circles, including Mumbai and Delhi, from Saturday night.
Conversion of its entire WiLL services into fully mobile telephony would make Reliance Infocomm the biggest cellular operator in the country as it paid Rs 1,542 crore earlier this week for acquiring a single licence under the new unified regime.
“Our entire WiLL network will be on roaming facility in the next 72 hours,” a Reliance spokesperson said.
Besides Delhi and Mumbai, Reliance has put its WiLL network on roaming in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh (West) and Gujarat, the spokesperson said, adding that the Delhi circle would also cover Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad And Noida. The move comes ahead of the cellular operators’ petition seeking a stay on WiLL services by basic operators which the Supreme Court will hear on Monday.
Tata Indicomm has also started the process of putting its network on roaming begining with Delhi.
