New Delhi, Aug. 11: A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security today reviewed the progress on Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s peace initiative with Pakistan.
Intelligence agencies briefed the CCS. The CCS also discussed the political situation in Pakistan. A potential revival of the Samjhauta Express between India and Pakistan also figured in the discussions.
“It was a routine meeting,” external affairs minister Yashwant Sinha told media persons after the 90-minute meeting, presided over by Vajpayee.
