New Delhi, Aug. 9 (PTI): On a day of mixed luck for Indians, top seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi advanced to the doubles semi-finals, while Leander Paes and David Rikl bowed out of the $ 2.45 m ATP Masters meet in Montreal on Friday.
Bhupathi and Mirnyi of Belarus defeated Wayne Arthurs and Paul Hanley of Australia 7-6 (10-8), 7-6 (7-5) to book a place in the last four, according to information reaching here.
But the fifth seeded pair of Paes and Czech Republicís Rikl went down to second seeds Bob and Mike Bryan of the US 3-6, 4-6 in the quarter finals.
Bhupathi and Mirnyi will now take on Cyril Suk and Martin Damm of Czech Republic after the sixth-seeded pair beat James Blake of the US and Joshua Eagle of Australia 6-2, 3-6, 6-4.
In the other semi-final, the Bryans will face the fourth seed pair of Jonas Bjorkman of Sweden and Todd Woodbridge of Australia.
