Calcutta: Putting the eventful Wimbledon fortnight quickly behind him, Leander Paes is back in business.
The Indian ace, who lifted the mixed doubles trophy with Martina Navratilova Sunday, and David Rikl won their first two matches comfortably to reach the semi-finals of the $550,000 Swiss Open in Gstaad.
According to information received here, the top seeds saw off Sebastian Prieto (Argentina) and Andre Sa (Brazil) 6-2, 6-3 in the quarter finals Friday. Paes and Rikl had dismissed Czech duo Petr Luxa and David Skoch 6-2, 6-3 in the first round.
Paes and Rikl, who fell to Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi in the Wimbledon semi-finals, will next take on another Czech team Petr Pala and Pavel Vizner.
