A young doctor, son of a deputy inspector general of police, is kidnapped by terrorists in Tripura, who demand a ransom of Rs 25 lakh for his release. The doctor is finally rescued by a reporter of a world renowned broadcasting corporation, who refuses all help from the state’s administration. The play is based on the famous story, Eto Rokto Keno' by noted author Samaresh Mazumdar on a true incident that had taken place in Tripura a few years ago. Scripted by Shomnath Boral, Khoron reflects the problems of racism, terrorism and political unrest that continue to plague the contemporary world. Baniprosad Banik is the play’s music director while Kharaj Mukhopadhyay lends his voice to the play’s songs. With the staging of this play, directed by Sukanta Basak, Ajantrik Natya Sangstha celebrates its 26th anniversary.
