Calcutta, April 5: The Rs 2200-crore Modi Group is entering the online lottery business with the launch of Sunshine across 13 lottery playing states on May 15.
“Sunshine is the umbrella brand under which there will be game-specific sub-brands,” Shreekant Gupte, chief executive officer of Modi Enterprises, said. “Our games will target players across different socio-economic segments. Each game will have a different price and prize money.”
Sunshine will enter the market with Sixo — the Lotto game. Other games will follow suit.
