Calcutta: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) brass and the International Cricket Council (ICC) will meet Monday in the city to resolve the contentious contracts issue before the World Cup in February 2003.
Jagmohan Dalmiya, the BCCI president informed that the ICC will be represented by Justice Ahmed Ebrahim of Zimbabwe, who is a member of the World Cup Contracts Committee (WCCC), and the ICC general manager (cricket) Dave Richardson. Though Dalmiya himself is a member of the six-member WCCC, he will represent the interests of the BCCI at the meeting.
Ace leg-spinner Anil Kumble, who pulled out of the ongoing series between India and New Zealand, will also be there to put forward the interests of the Indian players. Ebrahim and Richardson will arrive in the city early Monday.
