Ludhiana: Delhiís Formidables won the board-a-match event with 214 points in the national bridge championship at the Sutlej Club Tuesday.
The team, comprising Kiran Nadar, Subhash Gupta, Rajesh Dala, K.R. Venkatraman, Sunil Choksi and B. Satyanarayan, outplayed the overnight leaders, Trambak Rubber, Calcutta, in the final session scoring 71 points as against 50.
The Calcutta side, which led the pack by a board and a half with 144 points at the start of the day, only managed 203 points to finish second.
Chowdhary Combines finished third, while defending champions, Mumbaiís India Blues had to be content with the fifth position.
