Calcutta, Sept. 21: The rates of the tickets for the forthcoming Test match between India and the West Indies at Eden Gardens (October 30-November 3) was fixed in the CAB working committee meeting Saturday. The tickets will be priced at Rs. 150, 400, 500 and 1000. The Rs. 1000 tickets are for the seats in the renovated G Block.
Meanwhile, former Bengal allrounder Rabi Banerjee has been inducted into the new selection committee along with former Bengal opener Indu Bhusan Roy, who was a junior selector in the last season.
The changes had to be made following the completion of the chairman of selectors Ashok Malhotra’s term and the stepping down of Subrata Porel. Porel, who has been selected in the top-tier of national umpires, preferred to concentrate more on umpiring.
National selector Pranab Roy heads the four-man body, with Snehashish Ganguly being the other member. The junior selection committee comprises Robin Mukherjee (chairman), Jolly Sarkar, Mintu Das and Jiban Ghosh, the replacement for Roy.
Meanwhile, N.S. Virk member of the Anti Corruption Unit of ICC inspected Eden Gardens Friday.
