The Shonibar’er Adda will have guests speaking on the topic — ‘Heritage Trees of Calcutta’
Park Street is synonymous with Trincas. The iconic red and gold sign stands for hearty food, great music, and good times. Its third-generation owner, Anand Puri recently gave Kolkatans a peek into the rich history with an Instagram reel. Puri showed followers around the first wall of the restaurant that welcomes visitors with heritage pictures. One of them shows Trincas during 1927, when it was started as a partnership with Flurys. Back then, the restaurant functioned as a Swiss confectionery. In 1939, Mr Trinca moved to the other side of Park Street, where Trincas stands today. Anand even gushed about how he received Mr Trinca’s portrait through the original owner’s grand-neice’s nurse from Switzerland! Bite into this rich slice of history by visiting the legacy restaurant today!
