After tasting success with its e-cycles, Motovolt had been developing the first-ever multi-utility scooter electronic (MUSe) over the past year. The M7 electric scooter features a detachable and portable dual battery system for extended range, offering over 1,000 charge cycles and up to 166km per charge. Its multi-utility design allows for seamless transition between commuter and cargo carrier, catering to various user needs.

Safety is prioritised with LFP Cell Chemistry, IP67, and AIS156 certifications, ensuring reliability in harsh conditions. Advanced telematics support provides preventive ride alerts, real-time diagnostics and remote monitoring, enhancing ownership experience and efficiency. With a payload capacity of 180kg and a range of accessories, the M7 electric scooter redefines urban mobility, offering a unique blend of style, functionality and reliability.

Tushar Choudhary, the chief executive officer and founder of Motovolt Mobility, described Motovolt M7 as a life-changing solution for Indian commuters. “ It provides convenience, efficiency and sustainability in daily transportation needs. With the M7 electric scooter, we aim to empower individuals to make a positive impact on the environment without compromising on style or performance. The user can be an office-goer, a student or a homemaker and at the same time, it can cater to delivery partners, gig workers and small businesses,” he said.

Having used a petrol bike before, Roy switched to the M7 because petrol at this point proves to be very expensive since he rides over 60km everyday for his work.

My Kolkata spoke to the first customer of the M7 to find out the reason behind his choice to buy the latest e-scooter and here is what he had to say:

“I took test rides on e-scooters of other brands as well. For some, the body quality isn’t as good, while others have heating issues. And we have seen videos of e-scooters catching fire. Motovolt has presented everything in one, looking at the mileage, build quality, safety, efficiency as well as being multi-utility. The fact that they use German technology to give all benefits in one scooter is what helped me square in on M7,” he said. “I had tried out the M7 last year when it was on trial and booked it once I saw it online in March,”

Roy had earlier used the Motovolt HUM and was very satisfied with the experience, starting with the efficiency of the cycle to the service provided by Motovolt.

Motovolt M7 has proved to be a true multi-utility vehicle for Roy. M7 allows up to 180kg carrying capacity and the speed isn’t affected by weight. “It can reach up to 55kmph and I have had no issues carrying my delivery weight, which is a big plus for me. It is so well made that as a rider I do not feel the burden of the weight behind me,” said Roy.

“I have used it for a few days now and it feels really good. I charge the battery every two days. We live in a rural area where roads aren’t as good and on petrol bikes. Since using the M7, my wife and I have been enjoying a smooth and comfortable ride,” said Roy, who paid a total on-road price of Rs 1,18,100.
