The Economics Society of Maulana Azad College will be organising the fourth edition of Ecopolemics, the departmental fest of the Economics Department on May 17. The fest will be loaded with debates and discussions leaving an everlasting impact on the masses.

The event will also witness the horizons of sports merging with economics, where sportsmanship and economics will join hands to unleash the champion within.

The fest will include several events like Wrangle-o-nomics where participants will confidently argue on a topic that will be provided to them.

It will also host events like Ace the Case where the participants' analytical skills will be tested. Also, Bull vs Bear will be testing the prowess of students in the stock market.

Ecopolemics will also host a creative writing competition named Pen it Down. It will also include a Football auction and Crafting of IPL Cricket Campaigns.

Ecopolemics will witness a host of eminent judges and panelists from various backgrounds like Prof Srobonti Chattopadhyay, Assistant Professor at Rabindra Bharati University and a co-author of the book 'Introducing Auctions', Dr Suparna Gangopadhyay, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Head of the Department of Statistics at Surendranath College for Women, Nirvik Mukherjee, Head of the Department of Sports at NSHM Knowledge Campus, Shreya Basak, Asian Taekwondo Champion 2023 and Ratul Ganguly, a sports PR with various sports leagues. All of them will codify the proceedings of the insightful panel discussion.
