Watching the Tiny Desk Concerts by NPR Music on YouTube brings quite a chill and positive vibe. And if you spot an artiste from Kolkata on the video, it becomes special indeed. Recently, we saw Mohini Dey filling up the position of the bassist during Willow Smith’s Tiny Desk Concert and we couldn’t be prouder. Willow, along with Liso Lee (guitar and vocals), Zach Tenorio (keys) and Taylor ‘The Pocket Queen’ Gordon (drums) make their way through songs like Symptom of Life, Split, Wait a Minute!, Run! and Big Feelings. Mohini stays authentic to her playing with her bold sense of dressing style and let’s not miss her facial expressions.
While TDC’s unique approach to performing live music the entire concert had an offbeat sound to it yet didn’t lose the essence of the originals. The entire concert sounded refreshing and you also got to see such talented musicians in a new light.
