Actor Kartik Aaryan on Sunday dropped a set of pictures and videos featuring Kabir Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala from the trailer-launch event of his upcoming film Chandu Champion.

The first picture shows Kartik joining his hands to thank the audience for showering their love on the actor. A video shared in the next slide shows the anchor introducing Kartik on stage as a song from the film with the chorus lines “tu hai champion” being played during his entry.

Kartik brought his father Manish Tiwari to the stage and posed with him to celebrate the occasion. While the actor sported a camouflage-print cargo jacket paired with grey pants, his father wore a full-sleeved deep blue shirt coupled with grey trousers.

“GRATEFUL for your OVERWHELMING response to our #ChanduChampion trailer. The love pouring in from all corners didn't allow me to sleep the entire night. Have been reading each and every response on all platforms. Your love is my superpower, which makes me feel like a Champion every day,” Kartik wrote alongside an Instagram carousel.

Addressing the audience, the 33-year-old actor said the trailer launch was like a dream for him. “When I got to know that Kabir Khan sir wants to make this film with me, everything was decided that day. Even if one, one and a half, two, four years pass, I can never say no to a Kabir Khan film. I want to take a similar journey from the beginning to the end again. I will not change a thing about it,” he said in an address to the audience.

Fans flooded the comments section with praises for the actor. “Now we all are manifesting the National award for you my champ,” one of them wrote. “This love is what the son of gwalior has earned,” another wrote.

In Chandu Champion, Kartik Aaryan will take us through the real life story of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar, who joined the Indian army to hone his skills in a bid to represent India at the Olympics. Directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the sports biopic is slated to hit theatres on June 14.

On the work front, Kartik was last seen in Sameer Vidwans’s romantic drama film Satyaprem Ki Katha alongside Kiara Advani. He is also set to star in Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 alongside Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan.
