Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali attended the success party of Netflix period drama Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar on Saturday along with the show’s cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha and Aditi Rao Hydari. Here’s a look.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali sported an all-white kurta-pyjama set for the party. Heeramandi marks his first Netflix project and debut web series.
While Manisha Koirala dazzled in a yellow salwar suit, Aditi Rao Hydari wore a fit and flare shimmery red dress for the event. Both the actresses share a euphoric moment in this picture. Koirala plays the role of chief courtesan Mallikajaan, while Hydari plays her daughter Bibbojaan in the series.
Sharmin Sehgal, who plays Mallikajaan’s youngest daughter Alamzeb, wore a blue ethnic outfit with a golden embroidered border. Actor Fardeen Khan attended the event in a black and white shirt.
Sonakshi Sinha sported a black ethnic salwar suit with golden border. The actress played a double role — Rehana and Fardeen Jahan — in the series.
Richa Chadha chose an all-red salwar suit for the night. The actress played the role of Lajwanti (Lajjo), the foster daughter of Mallikajaan in the series.
The father-son duo, Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman, were engrossed in a conversation during the event. While Shekhar played the role of Mallikajaan's patron Khan Bahadur Zulfikar Ahmedand, Adhyayan played Zoravar Ali Khan (Imaad) in the series.
Sanjeeda Shaikh attended the event in a yellow-and-golden salwar suit.
Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar premiered on May 1 on Netflix.
