With the April heat showing no sign of relenting, there is a new way to enjoy the IPL for those sceptical of going to stadiums. After all, there is no tipple flowing at the Eden Gardens! This IPL season, Park Street Social has launched its Doosra Stadium experience as a unique way to watch cricket with customised food and drinks based on your favourite teams. My Kolkata headed over to Social on Poila Baisakh to sample their latest fare while witnessing the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) see off the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) get the better of the Mumbai Indians (MI).

An LLIIT for every team to pair with gob-smacking food

KKR fans can now scream “Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo Re” while sipping a Korbo Lliitbo Jeetbo drink, which is purple in colour (obviously!) and contains JW Red Label, blue curacao, cranberry juice and a sweet and sour mix. For fans of MI, Social has the #OneFamily LLIIT, with a base of Gordon’s, blue curacao, Red Bull, passion fruit syrup and a sweet and sour mix. Pair it with Sobo Gujac Dahi Puri (Rs 290), crispy puris filled with guac and dahi, and transport yourself to Mumbai to cheer on Hardik Pandya and Co. as they look to get over their early-season blues.

Lucknow biryani may be a no-go in Kolkata but you can still support LSG with the JW Red Label-based Lucknow Ki Gazab LLIIT, which also includes cherry syrup, blue curacao and apple juice and packs a punch that LSG seemed to lack at the Eden last Sunday. While the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) may not be at their best so far this season, the Luru Fried Prawn Popcorn (Rs 490), topped with curry leaves, will bring the best of Bengaluru on your plate, combined with the Namma Ooru LLIIT, made with Ketel One vodka, Campari, blood orange syrup and aerated Sprite.

With Rishabh Pant returning to his six-hitting best, enjoy the Roar Macha LLIIT, infused with Gordon’s, blue curacao, cucumber syrup and cucumber mint while you cheer on the Capitals from Delhi. And if Hyderabad’s run machines are your favourite, then the JW Red Label, orange juice, ginger syrup and apple juice-based Hyderabadi Sunrise LLIIT is for you, to pair with the Slogger’s Fiery Noods (Rs 370), slurpy noodles with a hit of peanut butter, because what else do you need when Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen are slogging like crazy!

MSD fans need not worry, for Social has you covered, too, with their Mad Madras Chilli Chicken (Rs 400) and Mad Madras Chilli Paneer (Rs 350), whose spice levels are complemented by the Thalaiva LLIIT, as cool as the man himself, comprising Ketel One, orange jam, Tropical Red Bull and a sweet and sour mix. For Kolkatans whose loyalty left KKR for the Gujarat Titans (GT) along with Shubman Gill, Social has the Aava De LLIIT, made from Ketel One, Jagermeister, blue curacao and Red Bull. Sip it while munching on The Majama Titans Platter (Rs 250), which includes crispy corn, murukku with schezwan sauce, masala peanuts and Kala Chana Chaat.

Not to be left behind, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR) also have their dedicated drinks, dubbed The Kings LLIIT and the Halla Bol LLIIT, respectively. The former is a combination of Tanqueray, blood orange, pomegranate juice and grapefruit rosemary while the latter contains Gordon’s, Kokum syrup and mango fig. Either or both of these drinks can go well with the Howzat Chapli Tacos (Rs 450 or Rs 490 depending on plant and meat options), which are chapli kebabs inside super-soft tacos served with green chutney.

All franchise-special LLIITs are priced at Rs 900 for 500ml and Rs 1,750 for 1,000ml.

If all these options are not enough to whet your appetite, Social also has the Doosra Platter (Rs 690), stocked with a variety of chicken items like chicken sliders, hot dogs, fried chicken wings and a Social classic, the BBQ Chicken Wings.

With multiple screens at each level of Social to take in the IPL action, there is plenty of room to hang out with friends and watch an IPL double-header on a Sunday or chill with your colleagues during an intense IPL evening during the week. For every KKR game, there is also a quiz, to be conducted by quizmaster Soukatan Ganguly during the innings break, where the right answers can fetch you a free Kingfisher Premium.
