A Delhi court extended till April 23 the judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case linked to the alleged excise scam. The ED sought extension of Kejriwal's custody by 14 days, saying the investigation was at a crucial stage.

A special PMLA court in Calcutta remanded suspended TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh to 14 days' judicial custody in an Enforcement Directorate (ED) case for alleged money laundering in the garb of pisciculture business. A Delhi court issued notice to the CBI on BRS leader K Kavitha's bail application in a corruption case linked to the alleged Delhi excise scam. CBI had arrested the Telengana MLC and daughter of former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao from Tihar Jail, where she was lodged after her arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case stemming from the alleged scam.
