Mohanlal will share screen space with his Nadodikkattu co-star Shobana in his 360th film helmed by Tharun Moorthy, reveal behind-the-scenes pictures shared by the actor on Monday.

“On the set, joining in prayers as we commence filming the project led by director Tharun Moorthy and produced by M. Renjith under Rejaputhra Visual Media,” the 63-year-old actor wrote alongside the pictures posted on X (formerly Twitter).

“I express my deepest gratitude and seek your blessings as I embark on my 360th film venture,” the Neru actor added.

In the first picture, we see Mohanlal greeting Shobana with a handshake. While the Drishyam actor sported a brown t-shirt, the Manichitrathazhu actress looked radiant in a hand block printed cotton sari. In the next picture, the two actors pose with the entire cast and crew of the film.

Other pictures show people on the street watching the shoot and a shot of a clapperboard.

Fans flooded the comments section with their best wishes and excitement over the reunion. “The legendary pair is coming back,” one of them wrote. “Really love it. One of the best combos. Wish you all the very best, Laletta,” another fan commented.

Mohanlal was last seen in the fantasy drama Malaikottai Vaaliban, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. In 2023, the actor appeared in two movies — the thriller Neru alongside Priyamani and the Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer.

Produced by Renjith, known for backing films like Two Countries, Left Right Left and Idukki Gold, the script for the film is written by Moorthy in collaboration with K.R. Sunil.

Mohanlal and Shobana have collaborated on several films in the 1990s, including Thiraasoolam (1986), Thoovanathumbikal (1987), Nadodikkattu (1987), Vellanakalude Nadu (1988), Manichitrathazhu (1993), Maya Mayuram (1993), Pakshe (1994) and Pavithram (1994).
