Golden shots for Salendra Singh

Imphal, Aug. 20: Rk. Salendra Singh bagged two gold medals in centre-fire pistol and free pistol events at the 24th All-Manipur Shooting Competition held at the shooting range, Khuman Lampak here today

Salendra Singh earned his first gold medal in the 25-metres menís individual centre- fire pistol with a score of 262 points, while G. Yaima Sharma had to be content with the silver with 243 points.

Kh. Gojendra Singh had to settle for the bronze with 233 points.

In the free pistol 50metres menís individual event, Salendra Singh claimed the gold with 236 points.

G. Yaima Sharma won the silver with 224 points, while L. Dinachandra bagged the bronze medal with 168 points. N. Nilkamal logged 157 points to take the fourth spot.

In the 50-metres junior menís individual free pistol event, K. Asish Sharma claimed the gold medal with 209 points for better consecutive strike rate, while G. Narendra Deva Sharma, who also got 209 points, fetched the silver. In the womenís individual 25-metres sports pistol event, L. Messiah Devi got the better of S. Premila Chanu with a score of 254 points to bag the gold medal. Chanu fetched the silver with 116 points.

In the 25-metres junior womenís individual sports pistol event, Ng. Lingthoingambi Chanu got the gold with 222 points.

Soccer: Navajyoti Sangha will organise the All Assam Prize-Money Football Tournament at Beltola High School playground in Guwahati from August 26 to 31.
