Calcutta: Muttiah Muralidharan will be in the city from September 1 for a 10-day camp of the Vision 2020 project with selected Bengal cricketers.
Muralidharan was here back in March for a camp when the project got underway. “He is expected to arrive on September 1 and will be staying for 10 days,” Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) joint secretary Subir Ganguly said.
The CAB, meanwhile, has sent five names to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as candidates from Bengal to officiate as a match referee. The names are Pranab Roy, Arindam Sarkar, Rajiv Seth, Ajay Verma and Indu Bhusan Roy. The match referee’s post from Bengal is vacant since the end of Raju Mukherjee’s term.
