New Delhi, Aug. 7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to keep his date with Nagpur on August 21.
The city seats the RSS headquarters, a sacred spot (punya bhoomi) for every BJP leader and more so for Modi, whose political career began in the Sangh as a “bal (child) swayamsevak” before he graduated to become a full-time “pracharak”.
BJP sources said Modi may skip a visit to Resham Bagh where the RSS headquarters is located and pay his obeisance to his ideological parent at the Hedgewar Smriti Temple. The memorial is named after Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the RSS founder, and is listed as a must-see in Nagpur on most travel websites.
Modi is also expected to inaugurate a sub-station at the Mauda Thermal Power Station near the city.
