Dimapur in quarters

Tezpur, Aug. 3: Dimapur XI booked a quarter-finals berth in the 54th Sohanlal Dugar Shield football tournament, organised by Tezpur District Sports Association, edging out Bokakhat XI 6-5 via tiebreakers at Polo Ground here today.

The pre-quarterfinals encounter ended in a 2-2 draw in regulation time and the penalty shootout saw the Nagaland outfit convert all their four shots while the Bokakhat men missed the net on two shots.

Tomorrow, United FC, Nagaland will meet Jail Road Club, Jorhat, in a round- of-16 match.
