Arunachal triumph

Hailakandi, July 29: Arunachal Sanskritik Sanstha today defeated Public Health Engineering RC by a margin of 3-1 goals in the super four stage of the Ramanuj Gupta Memorial Super Division Football League of District Sports Association (DSA) at Satindra Mohan Dev stadium in Silchar this evening.

In an action-packed match played under lights, striker Ranadhir Koloi scored two goals, in the 13th and 43rd minutes, while Vanlalbia scored the third in the 63rd minute.

PHE RC, however, reduced the margin in the 79th minute, with the consolation goal scored by Sujay Dey.

Silchar Sporting and Tarapur AC will clash in the last match of the league tomorrow under floodlights.

Cricket: Assam Cricket Association XI went down to National Cricket Academy by 126 runs in their match of the KSCA K.

Thimmappiah tournament in Mysore. Resuming at an overnight score of 195 for three wickets, ACA were bowled out for 285 in 89overs. Pallav Das scored 126.
