Patna, July 22: The cabinet today sanctioned Rs 291.64 crore to carry out transmission system strengthening work across the state.
Sources said the cabinet also approved the energy departmentís proposal to increase the project cost of Barauni Thermal Power Stationís (BTPS) expansion project. As per the revised cost, BTPSís two units of 250MW each, being constructed under its expansion plan, would now cost Rs 3,707 crore. Its earlier cost was Rs 3,133.16 crore.
The cabinet decided to adopt the central legislation in order to roll out National Urban Health Mission on the lines of National Rural Health Mission. It sanctioned Rs 24.91 crore for construction of 160 additional primary health centres under multi-sectoral development programme under 12th Five-Year Plan. It amended Anti Terrorist Squad Rules, 2014, and approved creation of one post of ASP in the ATS.
