Cheer for agro cradle

The Centre has agreed to grant central agriculture university status to Rajendra Agriculture University, Pusa at Samastipur in Bihar.

In Rajya Sabha on Friday, minister of state for agriculture and food processing industries Sanjeev Kumar Balyan said the Centre had given in-principle nod. This (university) will become operational after various modalities are agreed to between state government and Government of India, he said. Central Agricultural University, Imphal and Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi, are two such universities.
