Assam lad victorious

Guwahati, July 17: Rahul Singh of Assam caused a major upset, getting the better of International Master K. Dinesh Sharma of Life Insurance Corporation in the third round of the first International Open Fide-Rating Chess Championship. The meet was organised by the All-Assam Chess Association along with Kamrup Rural District Chess Association at the T. Ao Indoor Stadium here today.

Summer camp: Akshayam, a chess training centre, is organising a weeklong camp at its Dispur centre here from tomorrow.
