New Delhi: Even as the capital gears up for the launch of Delhi Dynamos, a franchise unit in the Indian Super League (ISL), there is a possibility that the dates for the eight-team city based tournament may undergo yet another change.
Though the tournament is scheduled between September 18 and December 7, sources said that broadcasters of the ISL, who also happen to be one of the partners of the league, have asked the All India Football Federation (AIFF) whether it is possible to extend the dates.
“The Champions League T20 in September could be the reason behind the request for change of dates,” a source in the AIFF told The Telegraph.
“The ISL broadcasters also hold the rights for the Champions league T20 as well. They won’t like the two tournaments to clash.”
Senior AIFF officials, however, said it would be difficult to reschedule the ISL at this juncture.
