UPAA emerge champions

Imphal, June 17: United Progressive Adults Association, Kiyamgei, bagged the overall team championís title of the 10th Governorís Cup State-Level Fencing Championship which concluded at Khuman Lampak indoor stadium today.

UPAA finished with 36 points in the boysí category and 50 points in the girlsí category with a total of 86 points for the title.

Sports Academy, Wangkhei, finished with 54 points while Khongman Studentsí Club got 44 points, SAI RC with 37 points, Miishikhol 31 points, Manipur Police Sports Club 16 points, RSC Kiyamgei and PPLYDO Khongman with 10 points. OLA finished with nine points and CRYDA, Meethasca, and KYO finished with a point each. S. Robinson of SAI RC bagged the best fencer award in the senior menís category while Kh. Rangila Devialso of Sports Academy was the best fencer in the womenís category. The junior boysí title went to K. Bidyananda of SAI RC and S. Hiron Devi of UPAA collected the girlsí title.
