Football camp concludes

Hailakandi, June 17: A 15-day under-19 residential football coaching camp of District Sports Association (DSA), Silchar, concluded on Monday night at Satindra Mohan Dev Stadium.

The camp was organised in collaboration with the Ramanuj Gupta Memorial Trust.

Altogether 127 youngsters participated in the camp from different parts of Cachar and Karimganj districts. Of them, 65 were from urban areas and 62 from rural areas like Dalu, Kalain, Katigorah, Bhaga, Narshingpur, Dhalai, Rajabazar, Harinagar, Udharbond, Srikona and Badarpur.

Finally, 74 players were selected for final phase of coaching. The camp was conducted by Devachandra Singha of Manipur. Yadav Paul and Babu Singha will continue to train the players, said DSA secretary Babul Hore.
