Employee arrested

Shillong, June 3: A Meghalaya government employee was arrested today for allegedly sending threatening text messages to a state minister.

Sophior Lyngdoh Nongrang, 45, working as a section assistant in the public works department at Mawphlang, about 30km from here, was arrested on charges that he had sent threatening text messages to state transport minister H.D.R. Lyngdoh on May 24.
