North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd (NBPDCL) on Tuesday announced the constitution of a team of officials exclusively for monitoring the execution of its projects.
Bihar State Power (Holding) Company deputy general manager (public relations) H.R. Pandey said: “The decision to create a new set-up comprising a team of engineers has been taken keeping in mind the timely execution of various power projects undertaken by NBPDCL.”
The board of directors of NBPDCL gave its approval on May 31 for setting up a new structure that would take care of all the power projects being undertaken under various schemes and plans.
According to the decision, the new structure at headquarters level would comprise two posts of chief engineer (project), four posts of superintending engineer (project), eight posts of executive engineer (project) and 16 posts of assistant engineer (project). Every assistant engineer (project) would supervise works of various projects in at least one or two power supply subdivisions.
NBPDCL has awarded the job of “rural revenue franchisee” to 1,385 youths till April 2014, a distribution company official said. The company has collected Rs 8.4 crore till March 2014.
