Naoreingam, Sachihan in semi-finals

Imphal, May 8: Naoreingam Keishing and Sachihan Kajingmei booked a semi-final berth in the third K. Yaima Memorial MBA’s Badminton Promo Championship at Indoor Hall, DM College, today.

In a game of the boys’ doubles under-17 category, Keishing and Kajingmei beat Th. Benerjit and Y. Tingku by 28-26 and 21-17, en route to the semi-final.

In the under-13 boys’ doubles, A. Bishal and H. Sanakhomba, S. Puwanghanba and S. Wilson, Y. Punshiba and Rk. Upananda, N. Zenith and W. Allien, M. Naoba and S. Jeotichandra, O. Nirjit and P. Rahul, H. Malemnganba and M. Agalin, S. Albert and K. Nganba, K. Daamshing and T.S. Happyson, Andrew Lotzem and Hormi Vanmei Lanah, K. Thomas and Th. Vavananda made it to the next round.

In the boys’ under-15 singles, K. Chinglemba beat Th. Bikash by 21-8 and 21-15 points while N. Keishing beat N. Jim by 23-21, 13-21, 21-18 points and M. Sanathoi beat N. Bill by 21-15 and 21-13 points. Y. Brajesh also recorded his win, outplaying Sachihan Kajingmei by 21-15 and 21-13 points.
