Shoot a web & get Spider-Man lucky
- Costumes, mugs on offer at Regent Fun Cinemas for webby hero fans

Join the dots to create a web or go through a maze to help Spider-Man find his way to Electro.

If you have always been a fan of the webby hero, Regent Fun Cinemas has some exciting offers for Spider- Man buffs.

The Regent Fun Cinemas on Wednesday launched a scheme, under which those coming to watch The Amazing Spider-Man 2 can get T-shirts, mug and costumes fashioned after the superhero.

On an average, every day two lucky kids aged up to 12 years would get the merchandise for free. With five shows every day, the cinema management has ensured that people get something extra while watching the film.

Apart from the merchandise, an activity sheet is also being distributed among the audience. One has to join dots to make a web, solve a puzzle to find out the Spider-Man characters and walk through a maze to help the superhero find Electro, the villain played by Jamie Foxx, in the film.

On the reason behind launching the offers, the chairman and managing director of Regent Theatre Pvt Ltd, Suman Kumar Sinha, said: “Children really enjoy watching Spider-Man movies and I have given them an opportunity to enjoy a little extra. It gives me immense pleasure when I see smiles on the faces of children. The two lucky children who get the prizes must be very happy to bag the Spider-Man mugs and the T-shirts. One lucky child would get a costume of the superhero.”

The merchandise is being handed out on random basis. There is no criterion to get it. As far as the activity sheet is concerned, a free popcorn bucket is being given to those who complete it and bring it the next day to the cinema.

The offer would continue till the movie plays in the cinema.

“I want the audience, especially children, to grab as many Spider-Man merchandise as they can,” Sinha said.

Earlier, the cinema management had distributed free badges, mugs, T-shirts and other such merchandise on the release of Dhoom 3, Krrish 3 and Don 2.

The Regent Fun Cinemas had distributed Aamir Khan’s look-alike bowler hats worn in Dhoom 3 and Krrish badges and mugs to around 300 children.

When Shah Rukh Khan’s Don 2 released, the cinema distributed around 1,000 free masks of King Khan.

Residents of Sabzibagh Hamza Shamsul Haque and Hazra Haque were the two lucky children who got the Spider-Man T-shirt and mugs on Wednesday. Regent Fun Cinemas manager Ashis Kumar Sinha presented the prize to the two children when they had come to watch the film with their mothers.

“We had come to watch the movie of my favourite superhero but had never thought that I would get a prize. I will visit the cinema once again. Hope, I get the costume next time,” said Hamza.
