Bengal beat Bihar 3-2

Dibrugarh, May 5: Bengal got the better of Bihar 3-2 in a Group C match of the 20th Senior National Women’s Football Championship at Jalan Outdoor Stadium here today.

Akanksha K. opened the account for Bihar in the third minute and Soni Kumari consolidated with another goal in the 18th minute.

Gita Das reduced the margin for Bengal with a 49th minute goal.

Rojina Khatun ruffled the net for the equaliser in the 66th minute. Archana Adhikary fired in the match-winning goal for Bengal in the 76th minute.

In another Group C match at the same ground, Delhi held Kerala to a 1-1 draw.

In another match at Chabua near here, Sikkim defeated Tripura 3-2.
