VSA drub Tulihal 4-0

Imphal, May 5: Veteran Sports Association, Imphal, drubbed Tulihal Educated Association Yairipok by 4-0 goals in the 16th Challenge Cup Veteran Football Tournament, 2014 at Mapal Kangjeibung today. In another match, Football Lovers Association, Manipur outplayed Sadar Hills by 3-1 goals.

National body-building: The All-Manipur Body-Building and Fitness Association selected K. Dinesh Chandra Singh for the 54th Senior National Body-Building Championship 2014 at Aurangabad, Maharashtra, from May 21-23. L. Manglem and I. Bipin will accompany the team as manager and team coach.

Cops triumph: Manipur Police Sports Club beat Chajin Youth Development Organisation, Lilong, by 21-17 goals to claim the championís title of the seventh Pureilomba Women Handball Tournament, 2014 at Chajing in Imphal West today.

Menís football: Ten Star drubbed LPYC Lambal by 7-1 goals in the 11th Seven Menís Open Football Tournament 2014 at Mayang Langjing, Imphal West, today. In the other matches, Khabam Lamkhai beat 9 Star by 3-2 goals and TDC (A) Mayang Langjing beat LCYC Leimakhong by 11-0 goals.

Tennis coaching: A 30-day residential table tennis coaching programme under South Korean coach Kim Song Han got under way at Indoor Hall at DM College complex from May 1.

The Manipur Table Tennis Association is organising the programme under the aegis of the Table Tennis Federation of India.
