New Delhi, May 2: A suspected Indian Mujahideen operative was deported from Sharjah tonight, reports our special correspondent.
Faizan Ahmed alias Azmi, who allegedly provided logistical support to the outfit, was arrested immediately after he landed at the Delhi airport, sources said.
Faizan, in his early 40s, hails from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.
A few months ago, RAW was alerted about his presence in Sharjah by Dubai police.
He is believed to be an associate of the IM boss Yasin Bhatkal who is now in the custody of security agencies.
Faizan, an accused in the 2008 serial blasts in the capital, had fled to Nepal five years ago and then went to Pakistan via Dubai where he got arms training.
