Calcutta: Ryuji Sueoka is resigned to the fact that East Bengal do not have any chance of winning the I-League this season.
“After the loss to Churchill Brothers on Wednesday we have only one per cent chance. Now it’s the League is Bengaluru FC’s to lose,” Sueoka said.
Bengaluru FC, who are on 41 points after 22 matches, need a win against Dempo on Monday. Those three points will make it impossible for either Salgoacar — second placed with 38 points with a game in hand or East Bengal, third with 37 points with two games in hand — to upset their applecart.
Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan will release players for the Indian Super League. “We will be releasing players ,” a senior club official said.
