Event: Workshop on Vedic maths

Duration: Around four-and-a-half hours

Special attraction: Students and parents were made aware of Vedic maths. This type of arithmetic provides the students 32 types of sutras (tricks) to get to know the subject in an easier manner. They were also explained how tables can be memorised with the use of fingers. The Vedic Maths Learning Centre was inaugurated on the occasion and director Shilpa B. explained how the unit would work to help children.

Duration: Three days

Special attraction: Different types of sporting events were organised at Moinul Haq stadium. Apart from march past, events like races and long jumps, too, were held. A good number of students from several city schools took part. Prizes were also given away to the best performers over the three days. The chief guest of the event, Dr R.N. Singh, said the students showed great team spirit and talent.
