Calcutta: The India A team will tour Australia for two four-day matches and a limited-overs quadrangular series from July 6 to August 2.
The tour gets underway with two four-day games against Australia A at the Allan Border Field, in Queensland, before taking part in the quadrangular series that features South Africa A,
Australia A and Cricket Australia’s National Performance Squad (NPS). The quadrangular series will start on July 20 and end on August 2.
The first four-day match will be held from July 6 to 9, followed by the second from July 13 to 16.
In the quadrangular series, India A begin their campaign against Australia A at Marrara, Nothern Territory, which is also the tournament opener.
They next play South Africa A on July 22 at Gardens Oval, Northern Territory.
“This tour is a part of the exchange programme that has been initiated by BCCI along with Cricket Australia (CA) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) to provide increased exposure to our upcoming players and an opportunity to familiarise and compete in overseas conditions,” BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel said in a media release.
