Don Bosco ease past St Johnís

School cricket

Guwahati, April 11: Don Bosco High School registered a convincing eight-wicket victory over St Johnís English School today in their match of the Nabin Chandra Tamuly Inter-School Cricket Tournament, organised by the Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre, at Nehru Stadium here.

Electing to bat, St Johnís put up a total of 103 runs before being all out in 19.5 overs. Narayan Deka scored 18 runs while Subham Jha chipped in with 17 runs. Aryaman Pangal and Riyan Parag took three wickets each.

In reply, Don Bosco eased past the target in 16.3 overs, losing just two wickets. Riyan Parag top-scored with 35 runs while Nihal Das chipped in with 34 runs. Subham Das and Subham Jha scalped one wicket each.

In the other match of the day, Nichols High School got a walkover after Sarvajanik Hindi High School failed to make it to the ground.
