Bishnoi scores 75 off 36

Rajkot: Mukul Dagar’s 55 and useful contributions by Prashant Gupta and Eklavya Dwivedi helped Uttar Pradesh beat Goa by 48 runs in the Syed Mustaq Ali trophy Group A match here on Thursday.

Batting first, Uttar Pradesh scored 186 runs for three wickets and then restricted Goa for 138 for six. Dagar (55) and Gupta (46) laid solid foundation, adding 100 runs for the opening wicket off just 11.4 overs.

Captain Rajesh Bishnoi’s blistering 75 off 36 balls helped Rajasthan beat Kerala by three wickets with a ball to spare. Rajasthan started poorly with four batsmen back in the hut with only 49 on the board. On the other hand, Jharkhand were knocked out, losing by six wickets to Haryana.
