Pradip wins title

Guwahati, April 7: Top seed Pradip Bhuyan annexed the title of the 14th P.C. Borooah First Sunday Chess Tournament with a score of 5.5 points from six rounds on the P.C. Borooah Chess Academy premises here.

International FIDE-rated player Bhuyan was tied with Prachurjya Gayan at 5.5 points each although the latter had be content with second position. Khanindra Barman, Lachit Kalita, Chiraranjan Bhuyan and Biswajit Bharadwaj, with five points each, occupied the third, fourth, fifth and sixth positions respectively.
