Patna, April 6: Seven illegal weapons and 29 live bombs were seized during special police drives.

Over 1,000 people against whom warrants of arrest were pending for long were taken into custody. Sources said around 12,000 suspected troublemakers filled up bonds under relevant sections of the Criminal Procedure Code taking pledge not to disrupt the general elections.

Clash probe

Around 12 people were detained for interrogation in connection with an exchange of fire at Narpatganj in Araria, which left two persons dead and six others injured.
