Calcutta: James Moga, who had sustained a groin injury during East Bengal’s March 23 I-League game versus Rangdajied United FC at the Salt Lake Stadium, is likely to sit out at least for the next few days.
It appears Moga will be missed in the crunch game against Mohammedan Sporting, on Saturday, which East Bengal desperately need to win to get closer to toppers Bengaluru FC. Moga underwent a scan on Thursday, with the report showing blood clot in the groin area.
“As of now, it seems he won’t be able to play against Mohammedan Sporting. But he’s a little better now and we hope we can get his services after Saturday’s match,” club assistant secretary Shantiranjan Dasgupta said.
