Hosts struggle on Day One

Hailakandi, March 31: Hosts Hailakandi were struggling at 92 for four in 33 overs at the end of first dayís play in the Hailakandi zoneís J.K. Baruah Trophy inter-district (under-19) cricket championship quarter-finals at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Stadium here today.

Binay Ruhilla and Vikash Kawalia remained not out on 20 and nought respectively.

Myinding Singhpoh scored 40 runs off 59 balls.

Earlier, Karimganj posted 202 runs losing all wickets in 49.3 overs in the first innings. Opener Sanjiv Das scored 39, hitting four fours and a six.

Hailakandiís off-spinner Sumit Rathi took five wickets for 54 runs and Alam Mazumdar claimed two for 38 runs.
