What will Biswal and GC do now?

Calcutta: With the Supreme Court issuing an interim order, there’s confusion over whether the Board-appointed governing council of the IPL will actually have any role to play in edition No.7.

The governing council includes two former India captains, Gundappa Viswanath and Ravi Shastri. Then, the IPL chairman, Ranjib Biswal, is a former U-19 captain.

Well, what will even Biswal’s role be now?

“Frankly, I don’t know where things stand. The interim order has been issued only today... Perhaps, things will be clear in a couple of days,” one of the governing council members told The Telegraph on Friday evening.

Strangely, despite this crisis without precedent, the BCCI hasn’t yet called an emergent working committee meeting.

It’s shocking.

The green light, one believes, will still have to come from Narayanswamy Srinivasan!
