What: The Scent of a Man, in association with t2
Where: Kala Mandir
When: March 28, 6pm and 8pm
The play: Set in present-day Mumbai, Ashvin Gidwani’s The Scent of a Man is a side-splitting adult comedy on lust, lies and infidelity, with a generous dose of caustic repartees, wit and sarcasm. The plot revolves around two couples — Nikhil, a successful advertising executive, and his intelligent but slightly neurotic wife Mallika, plus Tupperware lady Ananya and her husband Partho, a teacher — in a love-quadrilateral gone awry.
Director speak: “Relationships Exploited would have been the second title of this play. I have played with every emotion that couples share, like love, lust, jealousy, hatred... and given it a comic twist. It’s spicy, funny and fast-paced,” said Gidwani, who’s also the show producer.
