- Fun camp for kids

What: Spring Break Camp by Learning Impulse, in association with Telekids

When: March 24 to 28, 4pm to 6.30pm

Where: Edify Kids, Salt Lake

From art and craft to digital painting, from quiz to interesting facts about animals and watching their favourite movies, five days of fun and learning await about 30 kids, aged three to eight, who will join the camp.

“This is the time when most of the schools are closed for a session break. It is springtime and children are full of energy and we thought of chanelising their energy in a constructive manner. The time could be utilised to teach them something and entertain them, too,” said Rina Agarwal, co-founder of Learning Impulse, a kids-centric organisation.

The first day’s itinerary has been kept light and simple. The theme for the day is Colours of Spring. Games, floral puzzles and a craft-making session will keep the kids engaged.

The second day will see the kids have fun with computers as they dabble in digital art. A laptop attached to a big screen will be set up and the children will learn to play online games and get creative.

On the third day, the participants will take a quiz, solve crosswords and pattern-related games to stimulate their intelligence. The fourth day again is all about having fun as the little ones get to know about animals and the ecosystem. Kids will come dressed as animals and dance in their animal costumes.

The camp will end on a relaxing note as the kids munch on popcorn while watching their favourite movies. Popular animation flicks like Smurfs and Shrek are on the showlist.

Non-gas cooking sessions on all five days will take care of the little foodies as they relish phuchka, bhel and cookies while learning to make them too. They will also get a few tips on table manners and etiquette. “It is very important for the kids to know the dos and don’ts of table manners. This is one session I am really looking forward to,” said Smita Agarwal, co-founder Learning Impulse.
