Nagmani quits

Patna, March 6: Former Union minister Nagmani quit the NCP on Thursday after the RJD-Congress-NCP alliance denied him a Lok Sabha ticket from Ujiyarpur.

Soon after, he began praising the BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi and claimed he was in touch with the BJP even while in the NCP.

A senior BJP leader said: “Nagmani did meet us a couple of months ago. But there was no talk of him joining us. Besides, there are no vacant seats left with the NDA. We cannot provide him with a seat.” Nagmani, a known party-hopper is reportedly keen on a ticket from Chatra in Jharkhand, a constituency he has represented once.
